Everything That There Is To Know About Marvel's Doctor Strange Movie

We don't know much at all about the upcoming Doctor Strange film. We know the release date is October 28th 2016 for the UK and a week later on November 4th 2016 for the US. and we know that Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock, The Imitation Game) is starring as the eponymous role.

Also confirmed for roles in Marvel's Doctor Strange is Amy Landecker (Transparent), Rachel McAdams (Southpaw, True Detective), Tilda Swinton (Only Lovers Left Alive), Chiwetel Ejiofor (12 Years A Slave, The Martian), Mads Mikkelson (Hannibal, Casino Royale) and Michael Stuhlbarg (Boardwalk Empire, Hugo).

Tilda Swinton will be portraying the role of the Ancient One and Chiwetel Ejiofor as Baron Mordo.

Kevin Fiege will be producing and script duties will be handled by Jon Spaihts.

Shooting is currently underway for the mysterious film as Scott Derrickson directing but could have the film gone in a completely different direction?

Neil Gaiman posted a tweet on 27th November saying "@KurtBusiek I still wish Marvel had been interested in a @RealGDT & me Dr Strange movie, because I wanted to wrote Clea so badly after 1602." By @RealGDT, he means Guillermo del Torro. Can you imagine a Doctor Strange film by those two? It sounds fascinating and brilliant. Unfortunately, Marvel turned down their pitch and went with Derrickson's instead.
