Re-Make of Death Note Has Found Two of It's Lead Actors

For all of you anime, manga and Death Note fans out there...

Last week, it was announced that Adam Wingard is going to adapt Tsugumi Ohba's manga series for the big screen. Death Note has already been adapted into an awesome TV series, so to see the classic Japanese anime Americanised is going to be interesting.

Death Note is about a boy called Light who finds a supernatural book on his school grounds. A book that gives him the power to kill anyone that he wants just by writing their name down in the Death Note. His attempt is to get rid of all the bad people in the world and he refers to himself as a "God".

Wingard has already got his eyes on a couple of actors to star as the lead roles and all we know so far about the cast is that Nat Wolff (Paper Towns, The Fault in Our Stars) and Margaret Qualley (The Leftovers) will star alongside each other.

What we don't know is what their characters names will be and if it the adaptation will be any good. Death Note is a much-loved series by many and people don't want to see much changed to it, they don't want to see Wingard stray away from the original story too much or not at all if he can help it. People don't want to see it get ruined. But I've got my fingers crossed and I'm putting my complete faith in Wingard and hopefully we will see something brilliant, hopefully we will see something that we will look at and say "actually, that wasn't a bad idea".
