Which CW Shows Have Been Renewed?

The CW channel seems to be spewing out some of the most engaging and popular TV shows that are on our screens at the moment. The channel is renewing all 11 of its show that are currently airing and eight of those are relevant to us UK viewers. These are the 8 shows that are going to be renewed:

  • Arrow (season 5)
  • The Flash (season 3)
  • Legends of Tomorrow (season 2)
  • Supernatural (season 12)
  • The 100 (season 4)
  • The Vampire Diaries (season 8)
  • The Originals (season 4)
  • iZombie (season 3)

It's very very surprising that Supernatural, The Vampire Diaries and The Originals have all been renewed. Wasn't there a rumour going round a couple of years ago that Supernatural was going to stop at season 10? Well that surely all it was: a rumour, because they show no signs of slowing down - even though they probably should. There's only so much Supernatural the world can take, even more massive fans like me.

The Vampire Diaries. Nina Dobrev has left the show as the front runner, Elena Gilbert so where is the show going to go from there? Again, this show should have stopped a long time ago, maybe after season five or six. That's where it seemed to get slightly boring. Same with The Originals. After season 2, the show seemed to lose it's pull as The Vampire Diaries spin-off.

Arrow, The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow are currently airing in the UK on Sky1; The 100 is currently airing in the UK on E4, with Supernatural due to air on the same channel later this year; The Originals is available to stream on Amazon Instant; The Vampire Diaries will return to ITV2 in the UK later on in 201 and a UK air date for iZombie hasn't been released.

More Roles Are Cast For A Series of Unfortunate Events

We already know that Neil Patrick Harris is going to be betraying the villain, Count Olaf in the series, but which other roles have been cast?

Jude Law was cast as Lemony Snicket in the 2004 film, but for the series, Patrick Warburton (Rules of Engagement) has been cast for the role of Lemony Snicket. Even though we don't know if Warburton will just be a voiceover or whether he will actually be in the film is still unknown.

Joining Neil Patrick Harris and Patrick Warburton are 13 year old, Malina Weissman (Supergirl) and Louis Hynes as Violet and Klaus Baudelaire.

Is it me, or do they seem really young?

Barry Sonnefeld (The Addams Family) is directing the series.

Gotham Season 3 Confirmed

Ok, so finding the motivation to watch Gotham is very hard. It's easy to watch it's superhero counterparts such as The Flash, Arrow or Supergirl, but Gotham just doesn't seem to be on the same level as the other DC TV shows.

Gotham feels too busy...Like it's trying to tell everyone's stories at once and sometimes it gets messy. It's a good show, it is. But not as good as the other DC shows. That's why it's surprising that it's been renewed for a season 3.

Although, a season 3 means that we can continue to watch Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor) and Enigma (Cory Michael Smith) continue to fulfil their roles as villains and we might - that's a big might - be introduced to the Joker in season 3.

The directors, producers and writers of Gotham are going to have to be careful when it comes to involving the Joker. They don't know how much longer Gotham is going to be on our screens for. Season 3 may be the last season or it could carry on for a few more. With rocky viewings, they can't take a few more seasons for granted to introduce the Joker.

Fingers crossed.

Gotham season 2 is now airing on Channel 5 in the UK

First Trailer for Netflix's Luke Cage

For those of you who follow the MCU religiously (or for those of you who don't) you may have heard about a certain Luke Cage having his own Netflix TV show.

Luke Cage was a character in Netflix's Jessica Jones who is superhuman. He will also make up part of the team: The Defenders.

The trailer is only 20 seconds long, but we can get a good feel to what the TV show is going to be like. Much like Jessica Jones, it feels like it's going to be dark but comedic at the same time.

Trailer:

Luke Cage will be available to stream worldwide on Netflix from September 2016.

Alice Through The Looking Glass Posters Are Magical!

Seriously though, how cute does the Cheshire Cat look in the poster? Absolutely adorable...

Trailer:

Alice Through The Looking Glass will be in UK cinemas from 27th May 2016.

Supergirl/The Flash Crossover Coming Soon!

Do you remember when all of those rumours swirling around the TV blogosphere were speculating that there would be a Supergirl and The Flash crossover? Well, they were right.

Kara and Barry will unite and help save National City.

With their being so many crossovers in the DC TV universe, hopefully this won't confuse things or make it even harder to keep up with everything that is happening. Hopefully it will prove that the DC universe possibilities are endless and hopefully, it will work.

Trailer:

Supergirl and The Flash crossover will air March 28th on CBS and will air in the UK on Sky1 later on in the year.

First Picture of Wonder Woman: Women Against The World

Guys?! How exciting is this?! Warner Bros. released the first image of the Wonder Woman film. Pictured here is Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta: Diana's mother and Robin Wright and Lisa Loven Kongsli as her military General Antiope and Lieutenant Menalippe who are also her aunts.

This is the picture that anyone who is looking forward to the Wonder Woman feature has been waiting for. We've seen pictures just of Gadot and we've also seen footage of her in Batman v Superman, but this is the first time we've seen a wider cast photo.

Wonder Woman will be in the UK cinema in June 2017.
